About Clever Classroom

  •  Clever Classroom was born out of the idea that teachers never have enough time or energy to make all the resources their students, program and curriculum trends request of them.
  •  As a K-6 teacher I understand the demands on teaching and want to help anyway I can. I love designing teaching resources that help and empower both teachers and parents.
  •  Clever Classroom first started on eBay in March of 2008 and is still operating as a store. During this time, I was able to build hundreds of resources for all KLA's. Here I established an extensive customer base with many return customers from all areas of education.
  •  As Clever Classroom grew so did the requests from eager parents to have on going support through recommendations and possible learning experiences for a range of different challenges.
  •  The Clever Classroom website started in May 2009. Mrs. Farrell's Clever Clasroom also operates from it's large office in East Hills, Sydney and customers are welcome to visit either on the first Friday of each month or by appointment Monday through Saturday.
  •  Our clientele comprises of K-6 teachers, home school teachers and parents, Long Day Care teachers, Pre-School teachers, student teachers, new graduates, tutors, play group providers, mums, dads, aunts and uncles.
  •  I run Clever Classroom from my home in Sydney, Australia.

About Clever Classroom Products 

  •  Clever Classroom now has over 300 teaching resources for you to choose from either our online store, ebay or visiting Mrs. Farrell's Clever Classroom in Sydney.
  •  Clever Classroom prints all its resources on a laser printer to produce high quality, colour intensive images.
  •  All laminated resources are laminated with 80 micron laminating sheets and we guarantee the sheets will not peel apart, lose adhesiveness or fall apart when cut. All laminated products come as A4 sheets and are not cut.
  •  Clever Classroom uses royalty free images and images are copyright approved for commercial use in our products.
  •  All laminated and bound resources come in a clear, plastic zip-lock bag for storage.
  •  Each CD product is a PDF file and can be saved and printed from your computer with at least adobe 6 which is a free product that can be downloaded for free from the adobe website.
  •  Each CD comes with a smart label or printed image on its front further, each CD is stored in an envelope for storage and protection.
  •  Postage of laminated products include a sheet of cardboard to protect against bending. CD's are sent in CD mailers to protect against breakages.

About Me

  •  I am a thirty something who has been happily married for 4 years. We have one 3 year-old yellow Labrador. I enjoy photography, design, chatting with friends and volunteering time to help others.
  •  I am a trained K-6 teacher with a Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood. My experience has been with years, K-2 and I especially loved teaching year one! I ran the English committee of a P1 800+ place school in Sydney’s South West. I also have an Associate Diploma in Social Science (Child-Studies). I previously worked in Long Day Care for 5 years as a team leader and leading hand. Working mainly with 2 and 3 year-olds. I have always worked with children and don’t know how to do anything else! Over the years I’ve taught primary, worked in daycare, preschool, before and after school care, vacation care and I am currently tutoring 3 children and running Clever Classroom.
  •  I am currently on sick-leave from teaching full-time as I have been struggling with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) for almost 3 ½ years. I have only been able to run Clever Classroom via Ebay since I have been stronger. In the first 2 years I wasn’t able to do anything and was house bound for up to 4-6 weeks at a time. My time spent convalescing on the lounge and waiting for the strength to carry out basic self-help tasks. It was very painful and today I experience less pain. I am grateful for the experience as it has lead me down a new path. As my strength slowly returns and the fatigue and pain slowly dissipates I treat my Clever Classroom store as rehabilitation and my new career. I can still help others even though I’m unable to withstand the demands of teaching. I am slowly moving in to part-time teaching through a gradual return plan. I miss teaching very much and look forward to part-time teaching in the near future.
